Bedwetting

Most children achieve bladder control by age five. However, about 20 per cent of boys and 10 per cent of girls may keep wetting their bed during sleep till about age seven or eight.Statistics suggests that approximately 1.0 per cent of boys and 0.5 per cent of girls may continue to wet their bed up to age 18 a major cause of psych o s o c i a l trauma.
There are two types of bedwetting.P r i m a r y bedwetting presents with a family history of bedwetting.Twins are twice as likely to be affected.Secondary bedwetting presents with delayed bladder control or unpleasant childhood events.Whatever the type, your professional homeopathic doctor will inquire as to whether your child has had certain delayed milestones, along with emotional or behavioural problems,or both.

Children with bedwetting may have low self-esteem,apart from psychological distress. This may prompt them to keep it a secret for fear of being caught,or ridiculed, especially in school,or social contexts like birthday parties and weddings.Bedwetting may,at times,be accompanied by disturbed sleep patterns, nightmares,or trouble while waking from light sleep, especially when the bladder is full. When not treated appropriately, bedwetting may lead to emotional guilt, poor academic performance and social withdrawal.
Homeopathy analyses and treats mind-body variations that affect childrens health in this case, bedwetting without side-effects.In a clinical study,a group of children suffering from bedwetting were treated with a homeopathic preparation. After two months, results showed comprehensive disappearance of bedwetting symptoms with improvement in psychological and emotional wellness in a good percentage of subjects.
