Some Tips to Live Healthy And Happy!!!

  1. Eat healthy: Being thin might be the look of the day, but it is essential to make sure we consume the required nutrients even if we are on a diet. Intelligent eating is the key. “We must focus on seasonal eating. For example, in summer, we must avoid spicy or processed foods. We should have more salads, sprouts and fruits. In fact 50 per cent of a diet should consist of raw food.” He also advises people to eat up to only 75-80 per cent of their stomach’s capacity. This does not overburden the digestive system.
  2. Exercise: Exercise is the surest, as well as the shortest, way to remain fit and healthy. “In winter it is advisable not to exercise more than one and a half hours, and in summer, not more than an hour. This reduces the chance of dehydration and retains essential salts in the body,” he says.
  3. Meditation: Meditation is an excellent way to relax and rejuvenate oneself. A few minutes of meditation daily will refresh you to a great extent.

  4. Yoga: Along with exercise, yoga is also part and parcel of a healthy lifestyle. Even though it might take time to yield results, yoga helps you lose weight and stay fit. The best time to practice yoga is in the morning and precautions must be taken while performing the asanas to avoid any kind of injury.
  5. Sleep: Improper sleeping patterns affect our bodies immensely. We must believe in classic vedic texts, which say that it is essential to sleep for a minimum of eight hours per day. In 24 hours, we must dedicate eight hours to work, four hours before and after work and eight hours to sleep.
  6. Take a vacation: Taking a vacation is an ideal option for some relaxation. Going on a holiday with friends, family or even alone, can act as a big stress buster.
  7. Recreational activities: It’s not just your body that needs a break from your daily struggles, but your mind as well. Involving yourself in recreational activities helps, as doing things you love, or pursuing hobbies often help you relax.
  8. Play a sport: Sports like swimming, badminton or basketball are excellent ways to rejuvenate, build team spirit and stay physically fit.
  9. Express yourself: It is important to refresh ourselves emotionally. The expression of feelings is an integral part of healthy communication. Suppressed emotions often pose as a hindrance to healthy growth.
